Look at this adorable young Roman man!
He's for my Latin course at work.
And I love him.

I know you all truly desire hair like this.
Imagine that mane during the summer!
So. Fun.

More Makeup

I can't believe how much I love makeup!
Ever since Jr. High I've really enjoyed giving my friends "makeovers". However, this theater makeup class has just completely opened my eyes. I've come to realize that my illustration background is a huge asset for me as a makeup artist. I know how to handle a brush, I know how to copy looks fairly well.
The part that is still new and difficult is getting used to the different mediums.
Still, it's so refreshing to explore new things!
And I've tricked 3 people into letting me do their makeup!
2 for prom and 1 for a fundraising video.
I'm beyooond excited!

Above: Crane Queen (note the crown. I made my little brother sit for 3 hours and make me a bajillion cranes, which I then glued to a headband)

Below: Boxing injuries. I used putty to "break" my nose and for the swollen eyebrow. Latex was used for the cuts.

Below: My Gandalf/ Karl Marx beard. Crepe hair (wool)... what a difficult experience.

Ugly Baby

Sometimes, you’re about to fall asleep and then a brilliant idea comes to you. And, like, you can’t resist. This was my idea… an ugly baby. Like I said, “brilliant” :)

Elephant Baby

One time I drew this baby with elephant ears in my sketchbook. And I loved him.
You should love him as well.
He's really chubby.

Biiiig Bang!

These are kind of old, but I liked how they turned out.

This was the final phone cover design for a competition... that I didn't win :p

Maaaakeup!

So this semester I'm in a theater makeup class and it's probably one of the best things ever.
These are just a few things that I've been doing :)

Above: My roommate, Kerissa, who was willing to be my model for the glamour makeup unit. Note the purple eyebrows :) I love colored eyebrows.

Below: We had to divide our faces in half and do either Good/Evil, Man/Woman, Old/ Young, or Happy/Sad. I obviously chose Good/Evil. I wasn't entirely happy with the shape of the eye shadow, but I was pretty happy with how I covered up my eye brow and created the super evil fake one.

Below: Good. I went with the more innocent aspect of a good character. You can still see where my natural eyebrow starts. Maaan.

Below: A pretty low quality picture. But this is my old person face. Pretty excited for old age.
